They have made bricks that have heat management so the heat is in the brick and not the phone. The downside with that is the brick will be much bigger. Another way they have solved this problem is by using parallel charging. Instead of putting 50 watts in a 5000 mAh battery, there are two smaller 2500 mAh batteries next to each other which are each charging at 25 watts. This allows the phone to not get as hot. The downside of this solution is that the batteries will be smaller which is less life the battery has. A solution that has no downside that almost every modern smartphone has, including the iPhone, is adding more cooling hardware to the phone. Some examples of this are heat shields, vapor chambers, and fans.
