The question that is being answered in this experiment is, does wattage impact how fast an iPhone 13 Pro battery charges? It was hypothesized that the 65 watt charger will be faster than the 5 watt charger. The results of the experiment proved that the hypothesis was correct because the higher wattage results in faster charging speeds. The 65 watt charger was faster than the 5 watt charger in all 3 trials. According to the data, it took the 65 watt charger an average of 99 minutes to charge the iPhone 13 Pro from 50% to %100. On the other hand, it took the 5 watt charger an average of 170 minutes to charge the iPhone. These results may not be fully valid because the phone may be receiving notifications which would result in battery being used, the outlet might have stopped working for a second, and it was inconsistent of how many times the iPhones battery was checked to see where it was. When performing this experiment again, it will be important to code a program so every 10% margin will send a notification so it is more accurate. Also, the phone could be at the same brightness with notifications off to make it more accurate. These results can apply to almost everyone because most people charge their phone daily. Many people charge their phones with the exact 5 watt or 65 watt charger that were tested in this experiment.
